What is this and where can I get one ?
10 years ago this part fell out on the ground when I put the slide out, out. I jacked up the slide high enough to put it back in.
The slide out frame rides on this pad as it goes in and out.
It is a hard plastic material but must be really tough to handle the motion.
Last week it came out again.
It is still in pretty good shape but I'm thinking it might be good to get a new one.
What is it ?
Where do I get it ?
How should I attach it to the RV ?
Originally it had 2 screws on it, but they broke off years ago, maybe some JB weld , not sure.

RE: Moving forward with flooring replacement
I wish I was that talented, I have other people doing all the work.
A dad and his son did all the tear out, are installing all the carpet and doing the tile cutting and grout work.
They added a 3rd guy who is the expert in putting the tile down.
All of them have jobs during the week and only do this on weekends to make some extra $$.

Also if I get back on my diet and stop eating chocolate chip cookies, the weight difference will be down to 100 LBS :)

RE: Moving forward with flooring replacement
Hi Lou, I was responding to a previous post on how the granite tile would add more weight.
I am removing the ceramic tile, and replacing it with the granite tile.
So if my math is correct 145 lbs is the difference in the weight.
ON a side note, the ceramic tiles at 145 sq feet weigh 725 lbs or 5 lbs each
The granite tiles at 145 sq feet weigh 870 lbs, or 6 lbs each
Total additional weight added 145 LBS, which is about 18 gallons of water

RE: Moving forward with flooring replacement
Update on the floor replacement:
I wanted to make sure I used the correct materials for the tile floor so I called the big boys.
Millennium Coach and Marathon Coach and asked how they attach granite tiles to their buses.
Both were super helpful and based on their process I am using the following:
First a primer is applied to the plywood, Protecto Wrap 6000 Primer
Next Protecto Wrap Whisper Mat CS is applied
Next is Mapei kerabond mortar mixed with keralastic
Then the tile is put down
Based on the input from the high end RV guys this combination of the whisper mat and keralastic does a great job making sure the vibrations and flexibility can handle the bumps and turns for an RV.
I will post pics as the project moves forward.

RE: RV built with hole in the Floor (Thor/Four Winds/Mandalay)
I don't think so as there are no wires that come through the hole and I never had any work done there on the rv in that area.

RE: RV built with hole in the Floor (Thor/Four Winds/Mandalay)
I just had a thought on how I can use it !!!
No more stops to go pee, a really, really , really large funnel and hose through the hole in the floor.
Now I can drive till I'm out of diesel with no stops.
:) LOL

RE: Replacing Sleeper Couch
The sales guys at the furniture stores all say the backs wont come off, but if you flip it over you can see all the bolts and take it apart.
The backs and sides are all bolted to the bed mechanism.
I have had to do this with other residential furniture previously.

RV built with hole in the Floor (Thor/Four Winds/Mandalay)
Hello RV peeps.
Last week I started tearing out the flooring in my RV to replace the tile and carpet after 20 years of use.
When we peeled back the carpet between the drivers seat and the steering wheel there was a metal plate with a 4 inch hole in it.
I was shocked. It had always been hot or cold by my feet and I could not figure out why, now I know.
Very shocking.
